This time last year i was very worried about the financial situation at Tia. This year, thanks to some fabulous donations, we are in a better place.

The first picture is where the new kennel block is going for the oldies and sponsor dogs.

The second picture is where the new stable block is going. To you it may look like massive open space, but to me it is much, much more.

We can’t afford both, it is never the actual building that cost the most, it is all the groundworks, stone, concrete,resin, partioning, plumbing, electrics, air con and heating units that swallow up the money.

But we are having both. Just means we have to work harder..

The Summer Fair is on Sun Aug 27th, and we are requesting items for the tombola stalls (clean soft toys also needed), bottle and cake stalls please?  We’re also hoping to run a Mystery Jar stall this year so donations of filled jars (either original contents, or sweets, pencils etc.) for either adults or children would be greatly appreciated.

There is a flower within my heart,
Daisy, Daisy,
Planted one day by a glancing dart,
Planted by Daisy Bell.
Whether she loves me or loves me not
Sometimes it’s hard to tell;
And yet I am longing to share the lot
Of beautiful Daisy Bell.

Could we please appeal for helpers to help man the Tia stall at next week’s show We’re really short of people and it’s a long day as we’ll probably have to be there from 8am to set up, the show opens to the public at 10am and doesn’t close until 6pm, although we could leave earlier, depending on demand. Dandy & Beano will be there, so we also need help to monitor the children whilst they’re having a go at grooming them. Dogs can go to the show, the postcode for the showground is DN17 4EE, directions on how to get there are also on the Show’s website.
If people could email me if they’re available that would be appreciated.
