Tia Rescue

Tia Rescue is home to up to 100 Greyhounds & Lurchers, lots of Shire horses, two miniature donkeys and a menagerie of other animals.

We are now in our 18th year – being established by Deb in 1997 – and the problem of Greyhound Welfare is still a massive problem.

Tia is a charity named after Deb’s first rescue dog.  It is run entirely by donations from the public. Tia receives no money from the racing industry.

It wasn’t until  2004 that Tia became a registered charity and has gone from a few stables in a field in Sowerby Bridge,  to a very recent move to a seventy acre farm in Doncaster.

The rescue centre is now situated near Finningley, Doncaster and is still run by Deb and her partner, Bob, with help from Megan, Craig and Jordan who help with the horses and dogs.

It is a 24/7 365 days a year vocation – but the result is 100′s of Greyhounds, along with other animals in need of help, are rescued and re-homed every year.

Tia has eight charity shops in Skipton, Burnley, Pickering, Marsden, Meltham, Halifax, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge.

If you can help in any way, please do!

Thank you.
